The Automated Ball-Strike (ABS) Challenge System will become a part of MLB this season starting with this weekend's spring training games.

MLB is implementing the ABS challenge system for the first time in the regular season after testing it during spring training games last year.

ABS (automated balls and strikes) is the tech-heavy solution for players to challenge umpires' rulings on balls and strikes in a replay-review format.
