The New England Patriots’ win over the Los Angeles Chargers in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs came at a cost. In the early fourth quarter of the 16-3 victory, Pro Bowl cornerback Christian Gonzalez left the game after sustaining a head injury.

At the start of November, the Houston Texans were facing an uphill climb to save their season, losing to the San Francisco 49ers with C.J. Stroud suffering a concussion in the game. Houston dropped to 3-5 and was multiple games out of playoff contention.

Gonzalez is in the NFL's concussion protocol, head coach Mike Vrabel relayed Monday, Mark Daniels of MassLive reports.
