More than 150,000 Verizon customers are reporting outages on Wednesday, Jan. 14, according to Downdetector. As of 12:37 p.m. ET, roughly 157,596 customers have reported outages to the real-time tracking website.

Verizon has acknowledged a wireless services outage in the U.S. Wednesday afternoon and stated that its engineers are working to fix the problem.

Verizon said it's working to resolve outages that have continued for more than six hours, saying, "We know this is a huge inconvenience."
